Josh Cadenbach
Professor Josh Cadenbach discovered Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu while attending the University of Illinois. Soon after, he opened his first Gracie Barra school in Champaign, IL in 2013. After nearly a decade running the school in Champaign, Professor Josh comes to Collinsville to bring Gracie Barra fundamentals to the St. Louis Metro East. Professor Josh comes from the lineage of Professor Marcos Barros, a fourth degree black belt under Master Carlos Gracie Jr. and the owner and head instructor of Gracie Barra Springfield.
Jason Matthew
Professor Jason Matthew is a second degree black belt who has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over 15 years in Gracie Barra gyms. Professor Jason comes to our Collinsville staff after being an instructor and program director at Gracie Barra Springfield. He is also a former head instructor at Gracie Barra Schaumburg.
Jim Grimaldi
An avid competitor, Coach Jim Grimaldi has had success at the highest level, becoming an IBJJF World Champion, Pan-American Champion, and U.S. National Champion. Coach Jim began grappling at a young age. He was a competitive wrestler for many years in Illinois. He has also been a wrestling coach at the youth, middle school, and high school level. Currently, he is the head wrestling coach at a Catholic junior high school.
